Working with children
This program may involve working with children or vulnerable minors. Before applying, confirm the organization's safeguarding requirements, background checks, supervision, and minimum commitment directly with them. Volentroop is a discovery platform and does not vet or run these programs.
IGY (איגי) is Israel's only LGBTQ+ youth and young-adult movement, founded in 2002 and now the country's largest LGBTQ+ organization, reaching over 45,000 youth, young adults, parents, and teachers a year nationwide (this listing is for the Tel Aviv branch specifically). Volunteers serve as group leaders and mentors for weekly LGBTQ+ youth groups, supported by a professional team of psychologists and social workers. Dedicated groups exist for trans youth, Arabic speakers, religious LGBTQ+ youth, and Ethiopian-Israeli LGBTQ+ youth. Minimum age 21. Free, local Tel Aviv volunteering, not a travel placement.
You'll continue to the organization's website. Volentroop does not charge a booking fee.
