The Houston Food Bank is one of the largest food banks in the United States, distributing over 135 million pounds of food annually. Volunteers at the Portwall warehouse (535 Portwall St, East Houston) sort produce, repack dry goods, build home delivery kits, and assist in the Keegan Community Kitchen. Shifts run 7 days a week: mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Minimum age 6 (under 16 must have adult supervision); no experience needed.
