Pupu Rangi is a 100-hectare off-grid nature sanctuary on New Zealand's Kauri Coast, working to protect native kiwi and other species from introduced predators like stoats, possums, and rats. A maximum of eight volunteers at a time live off-grid in remote rainforest, far from the nearest town, doing hands-on conservation work.
