NATUWA Rescue Center and Sanctuary in Aranjuez, Puntarenas Province, cares for wild animals affected by hunting, deforestation, and habitat loss. Veterinary interns join a one- to twelve-week program assisting with animal care, rehabilitation, and quarantine protocols under the guidance of the on-site vet team.
