Wolf Conservation & Forest Restoration

Portugal is one of the last strongholds of the Iberian wolf. Volunteers work with conservation teams monitoring wolf territories, restoring native forest habitat, and conducting wildlife surveys in northern Portugal. Based in the Mafra area near Lisbon, with excursions into protected nature reserves. Fee includes on-site volunteer house accommodation in Mafra with a fully equipped kitchen, airport pickup from Lisbon with transport to Mafra, meals at the hostel during the Lisbon orientation and a weekly grocery allowance for self-catered meals at the conservation site, in-country orientation, and 24/7 emergency support.
