NATUWA Wildlife Sanctuary in Aranjuez, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica cares for roughly 500 animals displaced by hunting, habitat loss, and deforestation, including macaws, monkeys, peccaries, tapirs, ocelots, and jaguars. Volunteers work alongside local staff on daily feeding, enclosure cleaning, and enrichment for animals that often can't be released back to the wild.
